Advantages of Using Receipt Scanner
Now, if you are subscribe to an online expense report software like those provided by Certify, then you usually submit your receipts with your mobile phones or scan it using a flatbed or hand held image scanner. The problem with this TWAIN devices is that it is not specifically made to capture the whole receipts. Sometimes some part of it are blurry and not that really clear. Unlike with the use of receipt scanners (as mentioned on this post: Receipt Scanner from Certify), they were made specifically for receipts. With its high contrast settings it can perfectly capture the receipts quickly.
Aside from that it is build in such a way that it will work just fine on the expense management system by Certify. The receipt scanner is mobile, light weight, USB powered and very cool in black with bag included.

Online Expense Solution vs. Offline Expense Software
Certify is considered to be the leading provider of expense management solution today for small to mid size businesses in the US today. Their system doesn't require any software to be installed on your PC. Instead what you need is the subscription for the system to work. That's right no installation just as a simple sign-up and you can start tracking expenses and prepare those expense reports in no time. The implementation for the Certify's online corporate expense management software is that all the data on the system were all stored on the data server of Certify. This eliminates the effort in maintaining and ensuring the reliability of the storage system of the data thus giving you more time to do something that you are really good at, which is doing your own business.
Offline expense software requires resources that needs monitoring for the part of the user. In the case of the solution provided by Certify, any time in any PC, you can securely access your data, track your expenses and send all those receipts in just click of your mouse or pressing the send button of your smart phones. It is just as easy as that. If you want more information about the features of the online expense solution that I am talking about, read it from my previous post entitled: Expense Management Features that You Should Know.
By the way, Certify also offers a "light" version of their Corporate Expense Software. It is intended for personal expense report tracking system needs.

I found this interesting news from Reuters.com regarding how the small businesses look upon the slow recovery of the economy and how they are less optimistic about the future. Here's the excerpt of the report:
Small U.S. businesses became slightly less optimistic in June out of concern future sales will be soft, a survey released on Tuesday showed. This situation should be coped by the businesses today and employee's productivity should be maximized. Read the report of Aberdeen Group here regarding the relation of Travel and Entertainment Expense Automation and control which might facilitate to greater productivity of the employees and adaptation of the businesses to the economic problem of the country.
The National Federation of Independent Business said its monthly index of small business optimism slipped one point to a reading of 87.9 last month. It had gained 7.9 points since March, indicating a view the economy was stabilizing
"The economy is bouncing along the bottom and reorganizing itself to restart the growth process," said William Dunkelberg, chief economist for the NFIB.
